The New Season is Here! Choose Your Destination to Begin 2017 Competing Among the Best
We hope you are having an awesome holiday season. Know that the two weeks between christmas and New Years is the last resting period you’re gonna get in a while. 2017 will begin with the pedal to the metal with big competitions coming your way. So, watch your diet and go back to training as soon as you can to be in tip top shape for the coming season. Here are a few options of events you can register to compete in January.
UAEJJF
Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour
The fourth leg of the UAEJJF tour lands in its home town for two days of Gi and No-Gi action. Big names like Felipe Pena, Gabriel Arges, Xande Ribeiro, Mackenzie Dern, among others, will be there to compete for their share of over $150,000. You can still register to compete if you want. Orlando International Pro
If you need points in the UEJJF ranking and a excuse to travel to Disney World town, this is it. The Orlando International Pro is open to all nationalities on January 28. The Federation will award points to medalists and the best ranked at the end of the season will earn travel packages for the 2017 ADWPJJC. Click here to register.
New York International Pro
Same as the event in Orlando, the event in New York is also open to all nationalities and will also award valuable ranking points for medalists. It is scheduled February 18 and the registration period ends February 13. Click here to sign up.
National Pro Series
The UAEJJF season wraps up on April, with the 2017 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship. You can register to compete starting this January 1st. If you want to travel to the UAE with all expenses paid for, you better register to compete in one of the UAEJJF’s National Pro series events. Find the one near your area and go for it. Winners of selected divisions will earn travel packages for the big event in Abu Dhabi. Click here for the complete schedule.
IBJJF
2017 European Championship
Once again the Jiu-Jitsu community in the old continent will gather in Lisbon, Portugal. the best in the sport will pack the Pavilhão de Odivelas on January 17-22. San Jose International Open
