South America Continental Pro: Black belt stars put on a show in search of glory in Brazil
The first day of the AJP Tour South America Continental Pro was a resounding success this Saturday, June 5, 2021.
With the event having reached the maximum capacity of athletes, the 8 fight areas set up in the Fip complex, in Brusque, Santa Catarina, were packed during the almost 12 hours of the event.
From Juvenile blue belt to black belt, the continent’s best competitors gave their all in search of a podium spot and a piece of the R$200,000 in prizes offered by the organization.
In the most prominent category, the adult black belt stars offered Jiu Jitsu fans memorable performances. The brackets ran until the definition of the finals, which will be played this Sunday. Here are the finalists from each weight category.

-94kg – Erich Munis vs. Patrick Gaudio
-120kg – Yatan Bueno vs. Felipe Bezerra
Female Adult Brown/Black Belt
-49kg – Brenda Larissa beat Jessica Dantas 2-0 in the semifinal and was declared champion after the double disqualification of Mariana Rolszt and Maria Eduarda Tozoni in the other semifinal.
-55kg – Ana Rodrigues vs. Gabriela Fetcher
-62kg – Beatriz Mesquita vs. Julia Alves
-70kg – Thamara Ferreira vs. Izadora Silva
-95kg – Gabrieli Pessanha vs. Yara Nascimento
