After coming off the extremely close win over Gabi Garcia in the semi-final nobody would have faulted Mackenzie Dern if she came out flat or looking tired against the very talented and larger Vanessa Nascimento for the Open Final. But Mackenzie came to win and that’s just what she did getting 6 points for a sweep and a back take without allowing Vanessa any. Mackenzie fought hard and will take home an extra $10,000 for the win here in Abu Dhabi.
