IBJJF Announces Dates For the 2020 Pan American Championships

Last night the IBJJF made a sudden announcement that surely [pleasantly] surprised the jiu-jitsu community. With jiu-jitsu events slowly moving to get back on track since the COVID lockdowns, the IBJJF announced that they will also resume action by setting a new date and location for the 2020 Pan American Championships.

With a new date, the IBJJF Pans will also take on a new location. Moving from its usual residence of Irvine California, the event will move across the country to the “Sunshine State” of Florida. More specifically, Orlando. The same city that currently his home to the “restructured” 2020 NBA season and postseason. The official date is set for Oct. 8-11 with early registration deadline of Sept. 2nd and staying open until Sept. 28th.

Other events that have been announced by the IBJJF are Open tournies taking place in Austin, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK.

Stay tuned for more updates as more events are looking to be on the horizon and bringing us closer to a full-fledged reboot of sport jiu-jitsu.
