Bad Blood Outshines Title Gold at UFC 272

Normally, we are used to seeing title gold on the line when there is a PPV. This is the first time in a long time that the UFC is putting up two top contentenders as their main event. But this is no main event like any other. It is already outshining title fights from the past. With a gate of $6.000.000 it’s hard to argue that UFC 272 is not something special!

But what makes this main event with Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington so unique?

Both of these fighters are not only top contenders that have fought for the title previously. They are former teammates, former roommates and even more so former best friends. Two fighters that helped each other grow on a daily basis and were in each other’s corner when they were climbing up the ranks. But this Saturday, they are going to be standing across from each other as fierce enemies inside the cage.

A lot must have happened between the two to create a rivalry so staggering that it draws the attention of millions of people. We are in no position to judge who is right or wrong. When there is a dispute between two people, there are usually three sides to the story. There is Jorge’s story. Then there is Colby’s story. Then lastly, there is the TRUTH. And whoever wins this Saturday night will draw the truth on his side while the other fighter will have to live with the shame of defeat and a damaged reputation for the rest of his life.

Who will come out victorious?

Tune in when former best friends Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington finally settle their score live on Saturday night March 5th at UFC 272 in Las Vegas, NV.
