Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Returns For 2017/2018 Season Offering Over US$ 500k in Prizes

The 2017 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship was the grand finale of an exciting 2016/2017 season, but the UAEJJF is already warming its engine for the 2017/2018 season.

Once again the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour will be one of the crown jewels of the season. Athletes from all over the world will be able to compete for valuable points in the UAEJJF athlete’s ranking and also for big money prizes. Each one of the five events will offer over US$100,000 in prizes.

The tour kicks off on July 15, in Tokyo, Japan.

Then it travels back to Los Angeles, USA on September 23-24.

The third stop will be in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on November 10-12.

The fourth leg is scheduled for January 12-13, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The tour wraps up once again in London, England, on March 10-11.

The registration periods for all events are already open.

All events, but the first one in Tokyo will feature both gi and no-gi divisions.
