2017 Worlds No-Gi: João Gabriel vs. Hulk; Ana Laura vs. Loewen in the open class finals; other results

Day 1 of the 2017 IBJJF World No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Championship was fire. Throughout the entire day, the 12 mats set up at the Anaheim Convention Center were the stage for thrilling matches. The black belt division was the highlight of the day. After the semifinals of the male weight classes and the finals of the female division were set, the open class division gathered the best competitors for a final showdown.
