Pan Ams 2015 Day 3 Recap
Mike Calimbas reporting.
Saturday at the IBJJF Pan Jiujitsu Championship was an amazing display of skill and tenacity from the brown and black belts. Namely in the absolute divisions, grapplers from all over the world were able to showcase their skill. At the black belt level, Leandro Lo and Bernardo Faria were able to rise to the top for a chance to fight in Sunday’s final. They were able to defeat a field that included Keenan Cornelius, Alexander Trans, Tim Spriggs and many others. Meanwhile on the brown belt side, the duo from Marcelo Garcia came out on top with Dillon Danis and Matthew Diniz closing out the bracket over a field that was also highlighted by third-place finishers Pedro Araujo and Gabriel Arges. We now move on to Sunday’s black belt semifinals and onward to close out another year at the Pans. Photos and Words: Mike Calimbas
