The Brasilia International Pro gathered over 800 athletes in Brazil’s capital city this weekend, August 13-14, for gi and nogi divisions. The event earned points in the UAEJJF athletes’ ranking. Even in the middle of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, the event attracted an audience of 5,000 people that packed the venue.
Black belt Luiza Monteiro was one of the standouts, winning both her weight division and the open class. The next International Pro event in Brazil will be held in Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro, on October 8-9. Click here for the full results.
